Hereditary epidermolysis bullosa is a congenital disease in which the epidermis is fragile due to genetic mutation, and there is currently no comprehensively effective cure. In addition to the physical dilemma caused by the wound, researches also show that skin diseases also affect their interpersonal relationships, value recognition, self-image, and career choices.

Based on the strengths perspective, we believe that every patient is actually an "expert on his own problems" in the disease journey. Therefore, in addition to "solving problems" for them, we are also committed to assisting them in "using their advantages" so that the patients are able to use internal and external resources to develop positive abilities in the face of challenges. Therefore, we conduct a narrative group as autobiographical dramas, so that patients can adjust their self-limiting marginal survival position, realize their consciousness and regain self-confidence, and exert their normal and even unique life potential.

Autobiographical drama is to use "dramatically to act out one's own story." It is one of the methods of drama therapy. The creative process of autobiographical drama includes the interaction of "self-narration" and "drama creation and performance." The first is using their own narrative writing as the script, and the second lies in the joint performance of an autobiographical drama, and each performer also plays a different role in the story from others. When the real-life story is represented on the virtual theatre stage, the parties can experience the environment, reorganize their own life experience, interpret the meaning of life, and construct a new frame of the world through the feeling and thinking of the whole body. The purpose is to rewrite one’s future life.

Autobiographical drama, as one of the important work methods of drama therapy, affirms the uniqueness of each life experience, transforms subjective life experience into drama material that can be watched and arouses viewers’ feelings, and temporarily leaves away the framework and judgments of mainstream values to speak their words and feelings deepened the understanding of the world after the performance. Let young patients perform their own stories in their ways, and promote dialogue between young people and society through the audience forum after the performance.
